The Legend of Zelda Sword by meanlilkitty The Legend of Zelda Sword by meanlilkitty
For my upcoming costume, my new sword! =) For those who don't know, I'm planning a female link costume that had been designed by Adam Law [link] and [link]
In the picture she's depicted with a more traditional Master sword, but in another picture this sword design is seen in the foreground. Since she's supposed to be constructing the weapon that could destroy Ganon, I've surmised that it's most likely the Master sword in its infancy. I've finished this in a different style than I usually would, keeping the paint job very rough and heavy. I've decided I wanted to keep the entire costume and props more painterly, to reflect the fact that this is all from a fan art that was created in a digital painting. I hope this comes across...please let me know what you think! =)
The sword is made of solid poplar with cast plastic for the jewels, painted with spray paint and acrylic.

I don't remember the final measurements, but I believe it has a 25 inch blade and a 10 inch handle

If I were to ask it to be shorter, would that change the price at all?

Not by a whole lot, I would think, because if I started making it drastically smaller it's going to look disproportionate. There's a lot of carving involved, and the wood I use is expensive, so the cheapest I could do this is $130 plus s&h

I've been a Zelda freak ever since I was an infant.
-doesn't want to go all 'When I was younger...' mode on you guys, but has to to explain what I just said- When I was an infant, my mother used to sit me up, aim me at the TV, and have me watch her play LoZ.
I'm obsessed with anything Zelda related (as creepy as that sounds ^~^;;...), and have seen many Link cosplays, female Link cosplays, Master Sword replicas, etc. etc..
Despite all of which I've seen, this is definetly the BEST Master Sword replica I've seen (that isn't a real sword. I saw a pretty damn good one that was a real, double-edged sword on ThinkGeek.com).
I'm completely mindblown. @~@

Sure! I can make this for you for $140 plus s&h. I accept paypal and am willing to take the fee in two payments, half up front and the other half upon completion. Also as a part of my services, I'll load progress pictures so you can see how it's developing and provide any input that you may have. Let me know if all of this works for you!
