The Legend of Zelda Boomerangby ~meanlilkitty

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Props & Accessories

From Ocarina of Time, this is Young Link's boomerang made from liquid plastic and acrylic paint. Made for a commission, I made the original out of pink insulation foam, made a mold, and cast it in two parts out of liquid plastic. Super proud of it and glad I was able to get it to my client in time for her con.

I wouldn't have thought about using insulation for making the original. What did you use to make a mold?

Thanks! Yea, the foam is much easier to shape than wood, and works for making a quick and temporary result. I use Ooo-Moo 300(?) from Smoothon.com. Tis a awesome site
